Signups occur typically in late June or early July. Information will be published on this website and in the local newspaper.
How old does my son have to be?
At least 8 as of August 1 of the current year, no exceptions.
My son turns 8 on August 2nd can he still play this year?
No. Unfortunately the cutoff date is August 1 of the current year. Your son may play with the 8yr old division or play up with the 9's the following year.

Can my child "play up"?

Are there boundaries for where a family lives in order to play?
No. Our league has open boundaries. You may live in Richland, Pasco, Kennewick, Benton City, Burbank, etc. and play RYF football.
Can my son play both Grid Kids and School Ball?
Yes
What equipment does the league provide?
Helmet, shoulder pads, practice pants/pads, game pants/pads, mouthguard
What equipment will I need to purchase?
Game Jersey, practice jersey (or t-shirt), cleats (rubber), additional pads (as necessary), game socks, water bottle (optional)
When do practices start?
Practices typically start in the middle of August. Once your son is placed on a team you will be notified by the head coach as to the practice schedule.

The season runs from after labor day until the last week in October/first week of November.
